Oklahoma Senator Again Introduces Bill to Abolish Abortion

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt has signed a beak that would make performing an ballgame a felony except in the example of a medical emergency. Officials admit the mensurate is destined for a courtroom challenge.

"But Oklahoma is facing an abortion admission crunch that poses an immediate threat to our customs'south health and reproductive freedom."

What the Oklahoma bill would do

The legislation, SB-612, prohibits people in Oklahoma from performing abortions unless they are doing then to "save the life of a pregnant woman in a medical emergency."

The Oklahoma Firm approved the measure by a 70-fourteen vote last week. It had been approved past the Senate in March of last yr.

"Senate Pecker 612 is the strongest pro-life legislation in the country correct now, which effectively eliminates abortion in Oklahoma," Republican Country Sen. Nathan Dahm, one of the bill'southward authors, said in a statement.
